POM 3D Printer Filament – Samples

Choose a colour and a gauge and give our Go 3D POM filaments a try.

POM 3D printer filaments are often used to print working parts such as gears, ball bearings, fasteners and lock system.  POM filament is the perfect choice for such parts because this thermoplastic can withstand repeated use due to its high stiffness, low friction, and high impact resistance.

POM, or Polyoxymethylene, is known by many names, such as acetal, polyacetal, polyformaldehyde.  It is also known by the trade names Derlin, Celcon, Ramtal, Duracon, and Hostaform.  The recommended print temperature for POM filament is between 210°C and 225°C.  Be advised that POM filament degrades when overheated and could release formaldehyde gas.  Therefore, POM 3D printer filaments should never be heated above 230°C. POM filament should always be used in a well-ventilated area. If you intend to print indoors, please view our excellent selection of PLA filaments.  Be aware, however, that PLA does not offer the same low friction properties as POM and may not withstand repeated use.

These 3D printer filament samples come in 10m lengths and are available in 1.75mm and 3mm.  Like what you see?  Check out our selection of 1kg packages of POM filament and have enough to complete your whole project.
