PVA 3D Printer Filament – Natural

Need a support structure?  This natural-coloured PVA 3D printer filament is the answer.

PVA is a specialized polymer that is soluble in water.  PVA 3D printer filaments are typically used as a support structure for objects with overhanging details that may warp or just not print properly without something to hold them up until they harden.  PVA filament can be used to create that support structure.  Once the print is complete and fully hardened, the object can then be submersed in water and the PVA structure will simply dissolve, leaving your intended object behind in perfect condition.

PVA has a relatively low melting point, becoming fluid at around 190°C.  Storing PVA 3D printer filament can be tricky due to the water-solubility of the polymer.  It can attract water from the air, which may then cause the filament to deteriorate.   To prevent this deterioration, be sure to store your PVA filament in its original packaging until use.  After initial use, store remaining filament in an air-tight container with a desiccant for best results.

Our PVA 3D printer filament comes in 500g packages and is available in the following gauges: 1.75mm, 2.85mm, and 3mm.  Not ready to take the plunge with PVA filament or not sure which gauge would work best? You can purchase a sample from our sample selection and try it out before you commit to buying the whole roll.
